Public Tour - Deer Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant

Registration Required - Limited Space

  • Date: 09/13/2023 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Introduction: Ever wondered how EID manages and treats wastewater? Join us to explore the intricate process of safely transforming sewage into recycled water or safely discharging it after treatment.

EID invites you to a public tour of its Deer Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. Learn how we care for sewer lines and lift stations, how we handle and treat incoming stormwater, and how we produce recycled water for reuse. Equally important, discover how we protect the community from sewer spills and contamination.

Please RSVP via email to Communications@EID.org. Each tour can accommodate up to 25 participants. If scheduled tours fill up, we will maintain a waitlist for interested individuals. Depending on demand, EID may add or combine tours.

The tour lasts about two hours and is primarily outdoors and involves walking on varied, hilly terrain with metal-grated stairs. Attendees should wear weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes.

After RSVPing, you will receive a confirmation email. All participants must sign EID's liability waiver before joining the tour.

Please note that children under 12 are not permitted for safety reasons.
