Paratransit Service and Route Deviations

El Dorado Transit offers paratransit services to the disabled. Persons unable to get to the regular bus stop can request curb-side pickup from locations within 3/4 of a mile of the regular bus route. On all routes, except the Placerville route, this will be handled by deviating the bus during its scheduled trip. To arrange such a deviation, riders should call at least 24 hours in advance. There is a 50¢ additional fare charge, per trip, per person for off-route deviations.

In Placerville, a special complementary paratransit vehicle will provide service within 3/4 of a mile of the regular route for those unable to get to the regular bus stop. Reservations for this service can be made 1 to 14 days in advance and the fare is $2.00 per trip.

El Dorado Transit reserves the right to evaluate locations for accessibility and safety before granting route deviation and paratransit service requests.

Accessibility

All El Dorado Transit buses are wheelchair accessible. All buses are equipped with bike racks which are available on a first come/first served basis. Passenger information is available in alternative formats upon request.
