Pat is active in the community. He has served on the Board of Directors of Mother Lode Rehabilitation Enterprises, MORE, Placerville. MORE serves adults with developmental disabilities. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Logtown Fire Safe Council and was a Board member of the Diamond Springs-El Dorado Fire Protection District. Pat has also been Chairman of the El Dorado County Fire Safe Council and is currently the Chairman of the Grants Committee. Pat understands the importance of being proactive in seeking grant funding. During his tenure with the Fire Safe Council, they have been awarded numerous grants totaling over three million dollars. He is a dedicated community volunteer focused on working with agencies, communities, and residents to help make the county resilient to wildfire.

Pat was re-elected to the EID board for his second term in November 2022. He previously held the position of board vice president in 2020, served as president in 2021, and is currently serving as vice president.

Pat and his family have lived in El Dorado County since 2005.
