Public Meetings
EID conducts regular Board meetings that are open to the public, normally held the second and fourth Monday of each month. Check our events calendar to see upcoming Board meetings, public workshops and other events. You can receive notices when events or meetings are posted by signing up for eNews.
News and Information
The Communications department produces The Waterfront newsletter six times per year. These newsletters are mailed to our customers along with their bills, or you may receive it electronically if you are signed up for online bill pay.
Visit our Waterfront Newsletter and Archive webpage to view the latest and archived issues.
The department also produces news releases for the District. Sign up for eNews notifications to receive information about the District, including all our important services like your water, sewer, and recreation. You can choose the categories to tailor the notices you receive.
Other Publications
Communications staff also produce informational documents like Serving El Dorado County Since 1925: A Short History of El Dorado Irrigation District. The brochure outlines how water has been a force in shaping the economic, ecological, and cultural face of El Dorado County.
Tours
In coordination with plant operations the District holds public tours of our water and wastewater treatment plants. These tours give background and insight into the cost and complex infrastructure needed to treat drinking water and wastewater to required stringent state and federal regulations.
Sign up for email notification to be notified when the District plans to hold public tours through eNews Sign Up, under the Calendar section selection Public Tours. Note, if you are already a subscriber you may log in and add this notification. New subscribers will need to verify their email to activate their subscription.
If you are a teacher with a school and would like to arrange a tour for your class, contact the Communications Department at the email below.
