Join us for a public tour of the El Dorado Hills Water Treatment. Learn about the complexities of the water delivery and treatment system, and how EID treats and distributes water throughout its expansive 220-square-mile service area. This is a unique opportunity to gain insights into the intricate processes that ensures safe drinking water for our customers and community. Additionally, you’ll understand the critical importance of reinvesting in these essential systems to maintain their efficiency and reliability.
- Check-in is at 5:15 p.m., the tour begins at 5:30 p.m.
If the scheduled tour reaches capacity, the District will maintain a wait list of interested individuals wishing to participate.
The tour is mostly outdoors, and attendees should wear weather-appropriate clothing. Tours involve walking on varied and hilly terrain that includes metal grated stairs; closed-toe shoes are required. All participants must sign an EID liability waiver to attend.
Please note that children under 12 are not permitted for safety reasons.
