All jurisdictions that have electoral divisions, including special districts like El Dorado Irrigation District’s Board of Directors, must equalize the populations of their respective divisions every 10 years following the decennial federal census. Redistricting is the process of adjusting the division boundaries to ensure that all districts have equal populations and are in compliance with all state and federal laws. 

June 14, 2022, the District Political Boundary map (printable 17x11 PDF) and interactive "Find my Board representative" map has been updated.

On March 28, during the Public Hearing for Redistricting, the EID Board of Directors voted to approve map Alternative 1D that is contained in the Board Public Hearing Agenda Item. EID staff is working to updates the "Find my Board representative"  interactive map, as well as the maps and documents contained on our webpages. EID will send a news update when the data has been filed with the County and our website is updated.
